| The "Cimbri" |
With the word "Cimbro" it is intended the
language spoken in the past in a geographical zone that
included the communes of the Altopiano of Asiago (Asiago, Rotzo, Roana, Gallio, Foza, Enego,
Lusiana and Conco), thirteen communes of the province of Verona
and the village of Luserna (Trento).

It is undoubtfully a language of German origin linked to the old Bavarian and the old German. Thanks to the
isolation of the district, the language and culture cimbra
survived for a long time.
